Carolyn Caldwell, CPO, CPO-CD
Carolyn has over 11 years experience as a professional organizer in the Toronto area. She is a Gold Leaf member of Professional Organizers in Canada (POC). She established her organizing business, now known as Altered Organization, following twenty years working in the healthcare industry.
Carolyn was Canada’s first professional organizer to achieve both the Certified Professional Organizer in Chronic Disorganization (Institute for Challenging Disorganization, ICD) and Certified Professional Organizer (Board of Certified Professional Organizers) designations. In 2015 she was honoured to be recognized by her peers as a finalist in both POC’s Harold Taylor and Ambassador Awards and recipient of the revered Harold Taylor Award. Carolyn has served on the POC National Board of Directors, is a Past Chair of the Toronto Chapter of POC and currently it’s Program Coordinator.
Carolyn is committed to continuing education and credentialing. She has attained ICD Specialist Certificates in Chronic Disorganization, ADD, Aging and Hoarding. Most recently she is pursuing credentialing as a life coach to support her work with clients and students. Carolyn’s principal interest as a professional organizer is working with clients with Chronic Disorganization including ADD/ADHD. She offers a mentoring program to individuals entering the professional organizing industy.
During the winter, Carolyn maintains an alter ego as a ski instructor. She claims to be best at teaching terrified woman and crying children to enjoy the sport of downhill skiing. During the summer, Carolyn applies her organizing skills to support youth sailing. For the past 5 years she has organized a novice race course for children age 15 and under learning to race in the Optimist Dinghy. She is a mother of two active children.
